A gripping international thriller where loyalty is tested, corruption runs deep, and justice comes at a price.

Aviation author Greg Whyte makes his fiction debut with the first novel in the ARM thriller series.

When private investigator Bill Carver is brutally ambushed while investigating a ruthless land-grab conspiracy in Detroit, it sets off an international chain reaction of violence and high-stakes maneuvering. At the heart of the conflict is Kate Mercer, a farmer facing the loss of her livelihood and the mysterious disappearance of her husband, Caleb, orchestrated by the man behind the Black Sheaf conspiracy, Everett Shaw. The tide turns with the arrival of Gabriel Vale, an enigmatic operative with unmatched tactical skills and a penchant for high-tech intervention. From daring helicopter escapes and drone strikes to corporate takeovers and global manhunts spanning from Kansas to Vietnam, the story follows Vale as he dismantles the criminal empire of mob boss Adrian Vescari. As legal walls close in and body counts rise, Vale plays a deadly game of cat and mouse to protect the innocent and ensure that those who hide behind wealth and power finally face justice. This gripping thriller weaves together themes of corporate corruption, familial loyalty, and the relentless pursuit of vengeance.

Should I Become a Helicopter Pilot?

The Honest Guide to Making the Right Career Decision

Every year, thousands of people ask one question.

“How do I become a helicopter pilot?”

Far fewer ask the more important one.

“Should I become a helicopter pilot?”

That’s the question this book sets out to answer.

Before investing years of your life, and a substantial amount of money in flight training, you deserve an honest understanding of the career you are considering. This book doesn’t try to persuade you to become a helicopter pilot. For some readers, the right decision may be not to begin at all. Drawing on more than forty years in aviation, Greg Whyte examines the realities of helicopter flying, training, employment, finances, medical requirements, career progression and long-term job satisfaction. Along the way he challenges a few myths, confirms a few realities and encourages readers to make one of the biggest decisions of their lives with their eyes wide open. Whether you’re a school leaver, changing careers, supporting a son or daughter with aviation ambitions, or simply fascinated by helicopters, this book has one objective:

Help you make the right decision before you spend your first dollar on flight training.

Who Should Read This Book?

Why I Wrote This Book

This book began with a simple discussion inside the Helicopter Pilot Network.

I asked experienced helicopter pilots one question:

“What’s the one thing you wish someone had told you before you started flying helicopters?”

The response was overwhelming.

As I read through the comments, one thing became obvious.

There was plenty of advice explaining how to become a helicopter pilot.

Almost nobody was asking whether someone should become one in the first place.

This book grew from that conversation.
